The Mission
North Louisiana needed the funk. So we brought it.
Hot Grits was born from a desire to honor a legacy. In a landscape void of that authentic, sweat-drenched sound, Tyler Schweinefus and Ira Barger set out to fill the void.
We aren't just playing covers; we are introducing a new generation to the world of funk while keeping the sound going strong for those who lived it. From the psychedelic vibes of the 70s to the gritty soul of the Deep South, we bring a high-energy, in-your-face performance.
